x on one side, anything on the other?

By the way, if the X was from edge to edge and looked like it divided the pill into equal 4ths, then there is a very good possibility it wasn't ecstasy, rather it may have been a foreign medication.

I might not always be right, but I'm never wrong.

correct -- nothing on the other side, and the scored X extended nearly edge to edge (if I recall). one officer thought it was e, the next one said it's probably some Rx drug but didn't know what it was for sure. My next step after this is to go to a pharmacy. Thanks for your help!

WE usually find pills faster than a pharmacy does, plus pharmacies don't deal with foreign pills.

With the decription you gave then it's definately not ecstasy. However, the vagueness and nothing making the pill unique makes it near impossible to determine exactly what this is.

I might not always be right, but I'm never wrong.

Late breaking news ... the officer just called me back and said the pill was Gravol. (Kind of a relief.) Thanks for your replies - much appreciated.
