    Question g441 peach and green

I have a capsule that has G441 on both sides of the capsule...the left side of the capsule is a aqua-green color, the other is a tan-peach color....both have G441

I found this on rxlist.com but it just says gg441

    here's the link

    http://www.rxlist.com/script/main/sr....asp?src=*g441

I'm just not sure, I think it is a Soma, but the Soma I normally get from my pharmisist is the round white ones...

    Thanks!

your pill is: Dantrolene, 25 cap

Dantrolene capsulesWhat are dantrolene capsules? DANTROLENE (Dantrium®) is a muscle relaxant. It helps to relax muscles, relieving spasms and stiffness of muscles in conditions such as multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, stroke, or injury to the spine. Dantrolene can also help prevent and treat a condition called malignant hyperthermia, which may occur after surgery or anesthesia. Generic dantrolene capsules are available.

    Default thank you for info....

I ended up finally finding that it was dantrolene sodium...they are the 25 mg and my friend called me and said he had taken 6 of them (he is very depressed) I don't know whether to take him to the hospital or not, because the rxlist page said they come up to 100 mg....

Monkeyrod ~ I really don't think the issue is the mg. in deciding to bring your friend to the hopsital or not. This is a prescription med that he has taken for the wrong reason. He is depressed and taking pills he doesn't need for the wrong reasons. I am 100% positive that you should take him to the hospital so they can help him with his depression. What pills and how many will he take the next time? What if you aren't aware of it that time?? Who will help him then?

FYI: Just because a med. comes in say 100mg. pills that doesn't mean that anyone can take that amount....Someone who has never taken that particular med may overdose on a mg. amount that to a regular user would seem typical. Does that make sense. That is another reason why you need to get your friend to the ER. Who knows how his body will react to this medication. Better safe than sorry...right?

    Good Luck!!

I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR CONCERN...but I called the poison control center and since he has bee on the medication so long (also they said many people with CP take up to 400 mg day) said he could take twice that amount and be ok..

I feel really bad (because I set up his meds weelkly and accidenty put to much in his Thursday meds)

I appreciate your concern, but he seems fine, and I called the hospital and they said as long as he didn't go over 400 mg. he should be fine

Again, I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR CONCERN

and my friend that has CP also says he appreciates it

    Default everythings good

The only reason he took an excess amount is because I accidentaly put to much of his medication in his "7-day" pill thing, you know where you setup his morning, afternoon, night (you know the pill things)... he is fine and this is the first time I have accidentaly setup his meds wrong....

Thanks for your help and concern, and also my friend CHANCEY says thank you also!
