Default difference between lorazapam and alprazolam?

Is 1 mg of each the same other then half life? Thanks

I dont know the answer to this from a medical perspective, but when I was prescribed lorazapam it did absolutely nothing for me. However, when I was switched to alprazolam it did what it was prescribed to do. Dont know if that helps you or not.

Alprozalam is a controlled 3 narcotic and is generic for XANAX. Lorzepam is generic for ATIVAN. Ativan is a safe alternative, it is like having vicodin and percocet. percocet is a stronger pain medicaiton but vicodin is sitll a pain medication just not as strong formula. They are 2 different drugs just used for the same thing.
