Is meprozine cap 50-25 mg generic demeral?

Not quite.

MEPROZINE contains meperidine 50 mg and promethazine 25 mg

DEMEROL contains meperidine 50 mg or meperidine 100 mg

Meperidine is a narcotic analgesic.
Promethazine (the drug in Phenergan) is an antihistamine, used in this case to to relieve nausea and vomiting.
