Can anyone tell me if withdrawl after 7 months of pretty large doses of morphine could cause me to have severe stomach pain...My stomach feels like its on fire,night and day and no,I am not eating anything to cause heartburn or have ever had such a problem before taking morphine.I am not a druggie ,I injured my back a year ago,was on waiting list for surgery and just had surgery to repair herniated disc March 9th-05.......if anyone can tell me anything about morphine withdrawl(which I went threw already and am now off morphine)or simply side effects to taking it for so long,Please email me!!!shatan01@telus.net Thanks so much!

You can have severe stomach cramps for up to 2 weeks after that you should get to a doctor......Dave
