my best friend has just come clean to me that she is battling an addiction to prescribed pain medication. i want to help her and she knows i will. she has recently become desperate enough to call herself in a precription to the pharmacy using the dentist's dea# she obtained just by listening as they called one in for her while she was standing right there, at her last visit. i am scared for her! i am so clueless about things like this...please give me advice if you can.

~will this come back on her somehow?

~what happens when a script is phone in? she was able to have it filled and picked it up with no problem whatsoever.

~will this be verified somehow, maybe at a later time? or will it likely go undetected?

i am just praying she hasn't done herself in with this bright idea -that it will pass over and i can get her some help before she gets herself in deeper trouble. so scared for her! she's like a sister to me my best friend i love her. i can't let this happen to her. she's a great person just in some trouble right now. please tell me what will happen
