Default Too Many Drugs?

My mother is 81 yrs. old and has had a bad thyroid all her life.A few years ago she started having trouble with her pancreaus(sp?)She also has trouble sleeping. The dr. has her on propylthiouracil, pangestyme, crdia, amitriptyline,ni zatidine, and protonix. It seems like any more shes sick all the time.I know she's no spring chicken and shes got some med problems, but could any of these drugs be affecting each other,if so which ones?and if so is there and alternative?

Hello,

I would have some of the meds for the acid reflux (GIRD) changed protonix isnt as good as Prevacid or Nexium and check exactly what the other meds are used for and see if she really needs to be on them...Amitryptaline is an anti-depressant but also used for sleep, maybe you should try something else that isnt altering her perception at the same time.

Jon,
