Default Thyrolar: Problems With It?

Was wondering if any of you had information about why most strengths
of Thyrolar by Forest were unavailable for many months. I had been
told by Forest that it was due to "manufacturing enhancements" that
the company was trying to put into place, but quite frankly, I was
wondering if they were just having problems putting out a stable drug.

I say this because I'm actually a thyroid patient who found Thyrolar
to work very erratically over the last year or two--it would give me
symptoms of both high and low thyroid at the same time, but I could
never count on it to work in any predictable manner. I even filed
an FDA Medline "Adverse Reaction" report about this. So, just wondering
if anyone out there has any more information about problems with Thyrolar.
