Default Pharmacy calculation

I have a 1000mg EDTA/6.6ml Endrate dose (150mg EDTA per each ml of Endrate) and need to find out how much volume this should be diluted in to bring the final concentration of EDTA to not more than 3%. I'm not very good with this stuff.
Thanks!

The volume necessary for 30mg (3%) is 0.198ml. You will not find a syringe that will measure that volume exactly and accurately so you'll need to make an alloquat dilution which would give you a measurable and more accurate unit of measure. This is done simply by diluting out 1ml of the stock soln (1000mg/6.6ml = 151mg/1ml) with 4 ml of diluent solution (eg: sterile water for injection) to give: 151mg/5ml or 30.3mg/ml.
Hope this helps
