i am currently being treated for strep throat with Penicillin VK. in the mean time, i have acquired a urinary tract infection as well. the UTI is about to kill me with the pain. i am taking AZO standard for the pain, but i do have a bottle of Bactrim DS that was previously prescribed for a UTI i had a few months back that i never did take. would it be beneficial for me to start taking my bactrim DS to treat my UTI simultaneously while taking my Penicillin VK to treat my strep throat? or would it sabotage any efforts to treat either one of my conditions? HELP ????????? i'm in terrible pain from this UTI ! it won't go away.
