Need help for a friend

I have a friend that is a pharmacist and I believe that they maybe addicted to sleeping pills. This friend has a hard time going to sleep and will take aroung 10 ambien a day. Is there any way this friend can get help without losing their license or hurting their job. I know that investigations can get medical records. Any help?
