I sprained my ankle pretty bad a few days ago and initially received several prescriptions for pain, of them being Vicodin 500mg. I just went to a new doctor who gave me Naproxen 250mg. I have 4 hours to go before the Naproxen is supposed to run out and I am trying to sleep. The problem is my ankle hurts really bad and is hindering my ability to sleep. Before getting this prescription of Naproxen I would take a Vicodin to help me sleep through a night or two of pain.

If I take the Vicodin now, will it have a negative side effect from the Naproxen?
