Default Namenda

Is it ok to cut a 10mg Namenda tablet to use for 2 5mg doses?
My mom is on Aricept and Namenda and the recent increase of Namenda to 15mg a day has thrown her off. She was responding well to 10mg given in two 5mg doses 12 hrs apart. However I have quite alot of 10mg tabs and hoped to use them for her 5mg doses. In the consumer info on Aricept it specifically says to not cut the tablets, but I see no such warning for Namenda.

Usually if the tablet is scored then it is ok to cut it in half along the line. Namenda is not scored. But it still may be ok to cut it in half. Try calling Forrest Laboratories at 800 678 1605. I tried but they closed at 5pm CST.
