Default Metro taste side effect relief

My wife is halfway through her 10 day regimen of the antibiotic Metro and is threatening to discontinue the last five days due to the severity of side effects; especially the metallic taste. She tried immersing the pill in a spoonful of peanut butter and was amazed how well that eliminated the distastefulness!
This is not recommended for those with peanut allergy so other foodstuffs must be researched for that group of patients; but for those who have no adverse reactions to peanuts this plan is a godsend according to her!
Since the pharmacist claims there is no better choice of medication type for her diverticulitis flare-up she is determined to complete the full 10 days of meds.
We hope this helps others who must bear the bad side effects of this very popular choice of physicians for infection treatment across the board.
