I was given a 10 day prescription for 10 mg medroxyprogesterone after having and unsucessful D&C to stop bleeding. I have been on it in the past with no side effects. I started experiancing mood swings and depression by the 2nd day on the pill. Sucked it up and kept taking it. On the 4th day I was so depressed crying non stop at everything and not sleeping much. I took two more doses after that and decided when I started feeling like I wanted to committ suicide that should call my doctor. She immediatley had me stop. The Last pill I took was on Sunday (3-29-05) She told me i should start feeling better "soon" Its now Tuesday. I have not slept more that a total of 6 hours since Last thursday. While I feel a slight improvement (not wanting to kill myself or anyone around me) I still am depressed, not motivated, and restless. While she couldn't give me a time period where it typically takes to get out of your system I called the pharmacy and they do not know either. They all assume no more than two to three days. Anyone know if it could last longer. I have never been so miserable.
