To whom it may concern:

What does the 5/500 mean on a prescription

Lortab contains two ingredient drugs - Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen.

The numbers 5/500 refer to the strength of each drug so in this case the pill contains
Hydrocodone 5 mg and Acetaminophen 500 mg

5/500 is a form of vicodin 5mg hydrocodone 500mg acetaminophen
