Default hyperthyroid

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My daughter's thyroid test came back slightly elevated from the VA today. Of course she can't reach them via phone. I'm a nurse and know there are a vast number of reasons that can make the test come back elevated. She takes a number of OTC pills and I wondered if any of them could make the tests come back elevated. I don't know if any of you on this serve are wise in this area or not but here are the pills she takes:
multi oil
Women's Ultra Mega Active
Multi Mushroom
Cell Protector
Ultra Mega Green
Chromium Picolinate 500
Green Tea Extract
Fish Body Oils 1000
Energy drinks (Sobe or Rock Star

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Probably the energy drinks. Could also be the green tea extract. Green Tea boosts ones metabolism, and the drinks likely have high doses of guarana, caffeine, maybe ephedra or ephedra alkaloids. It's likely she drank them, with their effects active as she was getting her blood taken. I'd recoemmend a second blood test.
