When my pain management Dr. found out from the pharmacy that I had received another prescription from my dentist, she called all the local pharmacies trying to find out if I had more scripts (I didn't, just that one, one time) She also called three of my other Dr.s to report this. Am I red flagged now? I am in between Dr.s because of this incident and am afraid of going to a new one and to the pharmacy since I am sure they all think I am a drug addict. I really was made to feel so ashamed for getting those extra 20 pills. [V] Any comments are appreciated.

Wow, that's bad. I had a similar problem but it was the fault of my Med insurance company. Some miscomunication.

I have seen 2 pain management DR recently.(NOT AT THE SAME TIME)
One even made me sign a consent form,that I would not received pain med's from another Dr.I just got 60 lortab 10/650 filled on the 3rd.The pain management ONLY had me on 2 lortabs a day. That did nothing for my pain.I was using a cane to get around, that's how bad my pain is/was.When I got in his face and told him I refuse those injections (which causes your back to burn)He told me to go see a specialist, because I needed surgery on my back. So I did the following week.That Dr. gave me 120 lortab, because 2 pills was not helping me at all.So I guess it depends on your situation.I still have the script for the 120tabs, I'm just taken more then 2 pills a day.If my insurance won't cover it, i'll just pay cash for it.That's how a lot of PPL get busted or in trouble,they always go thru their Insurance CO.
My advice would just tell them you didn't know any better and that was your first time.And I know it sound like you kissing butt(and u r),just let them know that you'r sorry. I would change pharmacy if I was you. Walgreens got me in trouble like that before and that was 10yrs ago and I have NOT use them since. I hope I was helpful to you. Good Luck!!! Get Better Soon!!!

Goodness, I have had the same situation, but fortunately my state does not keep track of Sch 3 medications via computer, not yet at least. So I didnt have much of a problem. My Insurance company is the one that got me busted, they called me a "Double Dipper" and that I would not be getting anymore narcotics from them. I told the lady to stick it up her ass, that I made a mistake because I wasnt getting relief for my pain. I went to a good doctor, not a quack, just one that understands pain, signed a contract and got the medication I needed. As far as CVS, Walgreens, and the other big Pharmacies..they are impersonal and think that everyone is trying to get one over on them. Go to a grocery pharmacy and get to know your pharmacist, they are cool if you are just honest and are NOT trying to pull one over on them. Most of the time they will let you make it on a few days early refill, as long as it is not going to cost him his liscense. I dont know what state you live in, but you may just be red-flagged. I am sorry for that...I hope it works out for you, just find a better pharmacy..[8D]
