I need to find an effective antibiotic for a steppe lemming, every where I try I get no information, Baytril is totally in-effective, and I m getting desperate, the one lemming has swelling around the eyes mainly the left, am treating for congunctivitis at the moment it seems to have stabilised but there is no improvement, his habitat is dust free, no other lemmings are affected, which tends to rule out any allergy or contagion, he's 11 months old and has had this condition for 10 weeks, my local vet is helpful but has absolutely no working knowledge of lemmings, neither does any other vet I have contacted, and every lab that I contact refuses to give any information at all.
