My cat was prescribed Enalapril 2.5 mg, 1/2 pill twice a day. I couldn't get him to take or eat the pill (in his favorite food).

I crushed the pills, dissolved them in hot water 1 TBS per 1/2 pill, refigerated the liquid, and added 1 TBS to his food twice a day. He ate it this way but my Vet said I'd probably destroyed the effectiveness of the medicine.

Any ideas or information is welcome.
