Default xanax xr and klonopin

Is it necessary to gradually taper your klonopin when changing over to xanax xr? Or can you quit taking klonopin all at once and start taking xanax xr?

since they are both in the same drug class BENZODIZAPINE i think this is the correct spelling you can quit the Klonopan all at once and start the Xanax it wont hurt you at all actually the xanax is a little stronger . So you dont have to worry about withdrawals at all . good luck

I'm sure you have found out by now...but I had been on Klonopin since about 1991 and went off it in 1 day and began the Xanax XR. I notice that I don't get any of the jitters that I did when I didn't have enough Klonopin in my system. Hope all is well with your transition!
