Default Ultram

I have a friend that has been using Ultram for several years. He has attempted to stop taking them but has side effects, very similiar to what one would expect from opiate withdraws. Is there anything he can take to minimize the withdrawns during this process?
Thanks
nj
P.S. Prior to to Ultram he was addicted to percocet.

Ultram is not suppose to be addictive, so the drs. states. The first thing that comes to mind is to reduce the doseage until the doseage is zero. Like most meds. after taking a long time, [u]slowly</u> get it out of your body.

Even though the last responder stats that ultram is non addictive it is. And your friedn with have withdrawel symptoms if he/she does not slowly reduce the dose. The pill is scored and this person should score the pill and keep that dose for atleast 2 weeks and do that again til they have weened themselfs off this medication.
