Both are still pain killers. You can use the vicodin to help you taper if you run out of percs but they are both still narcotics. See information below!

Lortab is a narcotic analgesic (pain killer). Hydrocodone relieves pain. Acetaminophen is a less potent pain reliever that increases the effects of hydrocodone. Together, Lortab is most commonly used to relieve moderate-to-severe pain. Lortab may also be used for purposes other than those listed here.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vicodin
Generic ingredients: Hydrocodone bitartrate, Acetaminophen
Other brand names: Anexsia, Co-Gesic, Hydrocet, Lorcet, Lortab, Maxidone, Norco, Zydone
Federal law states you must have a valid RX prescription from your doctor to buy certain RX medications.
Vicodin combines a narcotic analgesic (painkiller) and cough reliever with a non-narcotic analgesic for the relief of moderate to moderately severe pain.
Vicodin can be habit-forming. If you take this drug over a long period of time, you can become mentally and physically dependent on it, and you may find the drug no longer works for you at the prescribed dosage.

Not so clueless,

No difference except for the brand name. The difference between Percocet and Vicodin is Percocet is Oxycodone, Vics are hydrocodone, the oxy is stronger then the hydro, but not be a whole lot mg for mg, so getting off Percs you'll find the hydro a little easier to taper you down with.
As for a great detox plan, the best is to taper off, gently, it depends on how much and for how long you've been on them. I would say the most gentle way is to drop 10mgs per day, maybe take the lower dose for two days each, when you get down to your last 10mg/day, go to 5mg for two days each, then stop, make sure you don't have any pills left, or you will take them. Write down how many mgs on a paper, do the math, and stick to it, try and stay busy and active, avoid any users you know.
Let us know how it goes.

BTW Oxycodone is 1.5 times stronger then Hydro, so now you know what it will take to equal your daily dosage.
