Currently on: two 2mg
lorazepam per night for sleep, and that is prescribed by my pcp. I have been on it over 20 years, and it use to be just one 1 mg. It went up to two 2mg about 3 years ago, but over the years I have added myself other things since Dr. would not up the mg or the amount:
I now take 2 hrs before I want to be asleep: 4
tylenol pm, and one 50 mg
amitriptyline with the lorazepam.
I am female, and 55.
Besides this I take: multi vitamin, 2 calcium supplements, and other prescribed rxes are: bumex in the A.M. for water weight, one 20mg cytalopram in A.M. for depression w/ pain, and at night two 20 mg lovastatin for cholesterol.
I want to quit because: I have 4 grandchildren, and although my DX and my 2kids never knew about this, my little grandchildren live w/ me and they are of the 'everyone knows everything' generation and know and are aware of what I take. It is for them I want to taper. I would do and DO do anything for them. If nothing else taper off the amitriptyline and the tylenol pm 1st, since they are not prescribed, but whatever would be the easiest.
I'm probably late in asking for help. I was laid off of my full time and my part-time jobs (at same company and at good $$) in April and I could have been working on this since my days are not really structured.

Any help would be appreciated.
I am looking to also get off the two cans of diet coke and all the sugar I eat, but I guess THAT'S another thread;-)
