Hi Eric, I just wanted to pop by and say hello. HOw are things going. I hope well. Man the Raiders.... When I was a boy, my favorite team was the Dolphins and my brother (the active duty navy guy I mentioned 29 years) he loves the Raiders.As kids in the 70's we had a good rival going, not so much now. I have come to be a Eagles fan. Anyway, you sound like you are doing well.... Have a nice weekend..... CA

Yep the Raiders but hey we have a game tomorrow we actually have a chance at winning against the KC Chiefs. I am also a Florida Gators fan so at least I root for one winner.

I am doing well now, I still get an occasional mental craving but I just do my best to ignore them. With the holidays coming up I am looking forward to a true drug free Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I hope you are all doing well in your recovery plans and keep it up !!!

How have you been, did your surgery recovery go as well as mine did ?? Looks like we both had the pill issue after surgery, such is life. I am so glad to hear from you. Tell me how is Robert, is his knee doing better? When can we expect him back in here...hopefully soon.

Eric ..... thanks as always for your concern. My orthopedic surgeon appointment got moved up to Oct 9 from November so that was a blessing for me.

I'm praying in Jesus name that your recovery is all over with ASAP. I also pray it is quick and as pain-free as possible. God bless.

I'm doing good now, it was tough going there for a bit.
My brain seems to like those stupid little pills
But I know better now
Robert is doing good, he has an appointment at the UW in October with a specialist so he is just going to hang in there till then.

you got me thinking about the holidays now im all excited for them they are my favorite time off the year...

Morning Eric, Glad to hear you are doing well.. You live in Cali.. Nice. A few months back, the little lady and I did NOCal for the first time. We stayed in San Fran for 3 days and did the sight seeing thing, then we went up to Napa for a week and stayed at a b&b and traveled from Wine region to wine region, then ended the trip with two days at fisherman's wharf. What a nice place Napa is. I am not a big wine fan. I like the science of it. My better half loves wine, so it was nice to watch her do all the tastings. She was in her glory. The seafood and the good food in general were awesome. I had not been in California since 90 when I was visiting with my brother who was doing post grad work at the Naval war college in Monteray. Anyway, have a nice day Eric.

It has been over a month now since my surgery related relapse and I am doing well. No more urges so far and I am feeling better and better. This has to be it, this has to be the end of this cycle !!

I send out my thoughts and prayer to all you who are fighting this deamon.

Still hanging in there the urges I was getting are long gone and I am well on the road to putting this horrid chapter of my life behind me.

I took a small break from here just to put the pill thoughts out of my head I was getting some pretty strong mental cravings and I figured if I just "forgot about it" they would go away. For a few days they were pretty strong they even felt like physical symptoms such as arm tingles etc...
I feel a lot better now and got past this big test.

Robert....thanks for all you do and I am sorry to hear about your accident, I hope you are doing better and when the time comes your knee surgery is successful.

Eric, It's great that you are beating the cravings down, pounding them out of your mind. Those cravings don't stand a chance against you my brother !
Isn't it cool to be free from those evil pills. I wish doctors understood more about addiction and warned people how easy it is to become an addict. I would have never thought that I would have got caught up in all this mess, but it's water under the bridge now.
I never heard of that music video channel you mentioned on my thread. I guess it is not available here in New Orleans yet. Sounds like an awesome channel though. I have to buy my music videos, and they are expensive. One of the great things about being off the pills is the money we save. We can spend a little extra on music now. I have always gotten high on good music, but now..........WOW !!! It is so much more intense, and I am discovering new sounds within the same old songs that I must have missed while on the pills.
Nice to see you back on board and still doing great !
