Hello friends! It's 9 months clean for me today. I haven't been around too much lately as I have actually gotten a "life" now that I have been freed from my addiction. I write this not to brag, but to bring hope to those who think it is impossible. As time goes by, I see more and more clearly how far my addiction had drug me down. I had given up the things that were important to me. I send best wishes, love and support to all.

Why not brag................. be happy. I would and will brag when I have 9 months behind me. I will in 9months. I will be putting it in caps so everyone can read it.

Hey sis, THANKS!! I have been keeping up with your posts. I can't sugar coat the first weeks and months- it was HELL! It took everything I had in me to keep it together. I will say that the longer it goes the easier it gets. I will look forward to your post in nine months to celebrate YOUR freedom. It sounds so simplistic to say "you can do it", but you really can. Congratz bro, glad to see a post like this. it gives me hope that I can stay clean again. I had 3 1/2 years and relapsed nine months ago after i graduated college. I thought a college degree and money would make me be able to handle a heroin habit and i could just do it once in a while. Boy was i ever wrong. Anyway, good luck and contratz.

Thanks guys! I just love this forum. It has the best people in the world. I try to post more- been gone a lot and I don't take my computer with me anymore as it was too much of a hassle to drag it along. I feel for all of you going through withdrawal, and even worse, the temptation that comes afterwards. Hang in there!!! Best wishes to all.

Nice to see you again GreenDay. You were there for me when I needed it most the first time I went through detox, and I really appreciate it.

9 months clean! Wow that's a MAJOR accomplishment! Hope those nasty cravings are finally gone .

Ofcourse I was off of them, and then those nasty cravings came and took control of me. Glad to see you're strong enough to tell those cravings to get the hell out. lol

Hey John! Was wondering how you were doing? Give me an update. I guess the thing to remember is I tried and failed countless times before it "stuck". And there is never a guarantee, as we all know. Are you hanging in there?
