Hi Rebecca.... toradol is a great non narcotic pain med.. I use it in the ER for setting bones. For long tern use is has not been reconmended due to kidney and liver function. If you are going to use it to ward off a migrains that if find. This is not a drug u want to use on the daily basis. For my back surgery I use IV toradol instead of Morphine. It took care of the pain just find. I wanted it by mouth to take home after surgery and my surg. refused stating that oxycontin was safer. well.......... not for me it wasnt.

Good luck and hope this helps.

It's an NSAID, in the same class as Aleve, Advil, etc - just much more potent. Very good & effective for certain kinds of pain, headaches included. Make sure you have a little something in your stomach before taking it as it can really do a number on your GI system. If you'll be on it for a long time, maybe talk to your doc about rx nexium, protonix, etc. Or over-the-counter Pepcid.
