Smile Today is my 10TH DAY!! (sorry, started new thread)

Hi everyone, this sure is quite a journey isn't it, just when you think you're over the hump, BAM! You get hit with w/d again! Not the physical so much, except for feeling TOTALLY lazy, but the MENTALS. The will get you EVERY SINGLE TIME!! If you can just get past those, and all of you know out there that have helped me, it's worked. Each day has felt like a month (atleast) but each day is one more day towards being clean. I feel good right now, I don't go by days, but I'm thankful to be able to say that now. It's raining out and its cold, so cheryl, no walking today! (thank god for the excuse!) BUT, I am going to get on my stationery bike today for the first time. I'll give myself til i don't want to do it, then I'll just get the h*** off and curse you later when i'm sore! All kidding aside, I COULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS WITHOUT EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU!! What a strange and wonderful world this is that you can rely on total strangers in one of the most trying times of our lives! Thank you all and god bless. PBS

bri-did my homework. I see Calgary won, and you don't take our castoffs from the NFL, you pick them from OUR colleges for the most part. Although I was quite impressed to see you have Ken-Yon Rambo. Ohio State of course! We were very proud of him. How is he doing? Does he play much, and if so, well? We enjoyed watching him play every week at OSU. On another team, the Lions I think, I see Rob Murphy, another favorite Buckeye!! And I see he won Outstanding Offensive Lineman for 2006 & 2007! I am quite impressed. I will give your "league" a try next year. I saw ALOT of names that were very familiar (Khalil Carter, for example, think arkansas?) Didn't think I'd look into it did you? haha GO BUCKEYES!!

Don't start me on those Gators again! Jeez, I still get vomit in my mouth when I think of that 2007 (?) game. That's why I can't stand that team, it's not actually the team, and I really respect Tebow, he's outstanding, it's that disrepectful coach of yours. It's all about him, and you guys don't even see it. The sh** that spewed from his mouth after that game was sickening, talking about that game was why the "BCS needed to be reworked" and that Florida was an obviously more talented team. True or not, you don't come out insulting the team you just played the championship for. It was disrespectful to our whole team and to Jim Tressel. I could not IMAGINE Tressel coming out and saying anything but how much he had the upmost respect for the Gators and their "Coach". UGH!! enough said. That felt really good to get out. Can you imagine sitting next to me at a college game? I'm worse with Basketball. Thanks for letting me vent ABS! GO BUCKS!!! I'll be watching the Gators, believe me!

I dont know about you but focusing on my sports teams is helping me keep my mind off the vicodin. I really am looking forward to the game in 2 weeks and for the first time in almost a year I wont be buzzed up on pills when I watch it.
Here is a list of my teams:

NFL: Oakland Raiders
NBA: Sacramento Kings
NCAA: Florida Gators

As you can see from that list the only good teams I have to root for is Florida.

I keep saying it over and over but hang in there we will get this garbage out of our bodies and minds.

Stay Strong !

atleast you don't have the bengals and the browns......its embarrassing even saying their names! I LOVE Buckeye basketball, so hope you're a fan of college basketball and we love cleveland cavaliers. Look forward to sparring with you here and there. We are Bengals fans by the way, but lets keep that quiet. Love those Jets too-follow that hot bret favre anywhere!

thanks cagirl, i feel really good today. I'm afraid to say "it's been a good day" yet, I usually wait til I'm laying in bed to decide. I have felt the strongest today than I can even remember. Isn't that pathetic? Everything is clear. All seems to be falling into place. I know I will be at peace with myself sometime in my future. Thanks for caring. Peg

Default Day Ten Right Behind You

When I wake up I will be right behind you at day 10 it is amazing how much my perceptions have changed in just 10 days. My personality and temperment are returning to normal. I am actually talking to and spending time with my family and friends. I look back at the last year or so and I see how much the vic took from me and it just makes me sick that I did that to myself.
I am so happy to be approaching the two week mark with you....

Lets Keep It Up !!

I was just laying in bed, and of course, my first day of really feeling strong and good and somewhat (?) healthy, and I CANT SLEEP. So I see you posted and I was thinking the same thing. I knew today is YOUR 10th, god, amazing, isn't it? And what a 10th day it was for me! It was raining, it was cold, it was windy, but da** it felt good. My mind is sharper, and you're right, getting to watch all the games is even more exciting, sorry about that Gator loss tonight by the way, god, how anyone can listen to dick vitale for 2 hrs and not want to strangle him is beyond me. My Buckeyes won by the hair on their chins. AND- our news said tonight, and hear this, if the gators lose to alabama, somehow, someway, they could be playing the bucks in the sugar bowl!! Wouldn't that make things interesting? Of course, they try to figure every which way the Buckeyes will get in a BCS bowl and gets a little annoying sometimes, but I found that quite funny! As for my daughter, she's not the only one, I also have a 15 yr old beautiful smart daughter with a bit of a mouth I might say, but she stands up for herself, a 19 yr old Freshman at Columbus State, carrying almost a 4.0 so far, AND a senior chemistry major with an A average also set to graduate in the spring. So all in all, I have it pretty good and now is the time to stop and smell the roses, right? Had to have a few bragging rights there for a minute its been such a good day. Have a good night and a he** of a great 10th day! Peg

jeez, I just wrote this whole thing on my post about no sleep and REALLY wierd dreams and i hit the wrong button and the whole thing disappeared. UGH! Todays my 11 day, and I am proud of myself! But after sleeping like a baby the first 10 days, I got ONE HOUR of sleep, cant even say last night, it was this morning, at five freakin thirty til six freakin thirty. I was zipping around this house like i had taken a handful of percs. Don't know what the he** was going on, and I swear i didn't! I even took 2 tylenol pms at about 11ish. And is anyone at about this time, having wierd dreams? Good God, 2 nights ago, i dreamed i lived in a dirty trailor on some big lot with scary people living all around me, fighting, running in our yard, my kids and I were peeking out the windows scared to death (a dream people, i don't live like this) and next thing i know, in my dream, i am being woken up by an old woman with heavy make-up (for you oldies, think baby-jane) wearing, I KID YOU NOT, a Wendys Hamburger Girls RED BRAIDED WIG! She was standing over me giggling & smiling really creepy and just poking and prodding me awake! What the he** does that all mean??? Next thing I know, I woke myself the he** up real fast i think. sorry for the potty mouth, but that was the wildest dream I EVER had. And the one hour I had this morning? Shirley McClaine. In some house that was mine, but really wasn't, she was mad at me because i didn't have my child call her the day before on her birthday. GO FIGURE. Is anyone else having strange dreams about redheads???? I don't even WANT to sleep tonight. All in all, I AM STILL CLEAN and it's snowing and it looks so pretty out, I might even walk my daughter to school, NOT haha, thought cheryl and annie get kick out of that. Everyone have a good day, stay clean, god bless! lilbri, waiting to hear from ya, sure you'll have something to say about all that! Peg

The Wendy's wig made ME belly laugh! Ahh... I'm sorry you didn't sleep. Did you try a klonopin? I've had to take one every night to calm the anxiety. I honestly think it's probably part of the process... you brain is getting that ******************** out of it's system and is now able to create dreams when it wasn't before (fyi, I'm only speculating). Everyone has a crazy dream once in a while. Do you have a lot to do today? If not, don't stress, just when you crash and burn in a few hours, take a nap! I had insomnia a lot in HS, I know how much it such. I feel for you hun. Talk to you soon.

I had crazy dreams when I detoxed. DO you dream about pills? I dreamt one night that I found a gallon size bad full of all different pills, and I took them all.

I swear, I woke up high! It was very weird.

Course, I always have strange dreams. Last night I dreamed that we had been attacked by aliens and the only way to say myself and the kids were to eat ice. The aliens hated it and made them go away, so we were munching on big hunks of ice.

Money - Are you kidding? Cuz that almost ranks up there with the Baby Jane Wendy. I figure over the next few nights, i'll have little orphan annie, lucy ricardo and Bette Midler visiting me.
As for dreaming about pills, god, I hope that doesn't happen. I havent dreamed since I don't know when, and I certainly don't consider these last two nights "dreams", more like "Frightmares"! Maybe ET and those ugly things from Independence Day will visit you! Talk to you later! Peg
