Does anyone know why my doctor would put me on Seroquel for anxiety? I looked it up online and it says it is for mania, bipolar disorder and skzofronia (SP). I have NOT been diganoised with any of these things. I was in DETOX 2 1.5 weeks ago for Vicodin and have been on 8mg of Suboxine a day, with Soma for muscle pains. But I have had major anxiety, restlessness, stress, panic attacks since Detox and my doctor gave me Seroquel, why? It is used for people with just anxiety?
I took one last night and it kicked my rear end into next week, I mean it really messed me up, I was totally out of it, spacey, very tired, kind os like taking Ambien and staying up, and I slept like a total rock and had to call in sick today because I seriously couldnt even get out of bed and function, and he wants me to take this twice a day.
I am very concerned about this medication and it would make me feel a lot better if someone else was given it just for anxiety. Im not knocking people with major mental disorders, but I dont have them I am just a person that has been clean off Vicodin for 20 days and I am struggling with it, and have anxiety and stress which are pretty normal for the month or two after you come off a major pill habit of Vicodin for 7 years.
Any help, suggestions, advice, stories would be greatly appreciated!

I have been on serequal for 5-6 years i also have anxiety and other problems i am on paxil tooo it really helps with anxiety i have taken up to 1200mg a night of serequal now i only take 600mg a night warning once you are on it it is very hard to get off of i can not sleep without it now at all....plus its not working for my right now maybe cause of my detox...im on day 7 off of percs...i dont know how others feel though
