How much suboxone are you taking each day? Tell me how you've used it since starting the subs. God bless.

I am sick of suboxone too. I was started at 32mg and have weaned down to 8 rather quickly. You're going to be okay. Take some deep breaths and do something you enjoy! Good luck to you!

If you started on 5/3 then it's time to start tapering down immediately. I can take you down through the taper, that shouldn't be a problem. But please understand that I can't control how fast you're able to taper.

I don't guarantee that fifteen pills will be enough, it's impossible to say. It all depends how well you are able to taper. You have to slow down if you start feeling w/d symptoms so you have to taper accordingly.

Just focus on following the suggestions. I'm here about every day. You should reduce the 8mg down to 6mg starting tomorrow. Most people take it in two doses each day. Let me know how you're doing as you taper down. God bless.

robert
i am going to ask my dr for another rx of sub. i totally trust you and will work with you. i have absolutely horrific withdrawals and always have. this is the end of the opiate roller coaster of my life. i doubt i even have one endorphin. so please take me down very carefully...i am 61, live with my mom who is 88 (and a borderline personality) she berates me all day. i am an only child..so besides being terrified of w/d, i also need to help her. should i ask for clonodine...i don't know if he'll give me any benzo's but i sure am shaky and have barely begun the process.i thank you from the bottom of my heart for your compassion and understading of the hell i am in. I will keep praying and asking for a swift and steady recovery. please stay with me robert, barb

Don't reduce if you're having w/d. You need to be totally stable before reducing your dose. If you do this like I ask you to your problems should be minimal. God bless.

Hi this is Pam I have been on every pain med out there .... before I went to rehab I was on 90 mg of morph along with several other drugs .I went to rehab only stayed one week ...they never metioned I would have w/d 's even after going thru detox .I had diarrhea by the day 5 and they wouldn't let me have anything ...they wanted me to go to meetings from 7am till 9pm which I couldn't so I left then I started to having even more w/d's. Well I went back to the P/M doctor who continued giving me Vic's along with Klonopin for the last 1 1/2 yrs. Then I was put on Sub 16mg. back in mid March and luckly I found this site shortly after and Robert....he's been great and trust me he got me off the high dose and I should be off this stuff soon .
Robert will not taper you to fast just do everything he says and you will be fine. I know your worried about your age well I'm 51 and on drugs most my life so trust me you will be ok.
Just for the record even when you feel muscle ache go for a walk etc...excercise really helps too.
Well I wish you the best...I will check back to see how you are doing.
Take Care,
Pam

You shouldn't need anything besides the subs. Let me know. God bless.

Hey Barbara, I am in the exact same spot as you are right now. I have tapered down from 32mg and have been on suboxone since January. I just cut down to 6mg today and divided it into two doses. I just wanted you to know that you are not alone and maybe we can get off this together at the same time! Hugs to you! Hope you're feeling okay!

You should do very well on 6mg. I started @ 8mg for 3 days, then dropped to 6mg for 2 days w/ no problems at all. Then I dropped to 4.5mg for 4 days, still no problem. That was a total of 9 days and on the 10th day dropped to 3.5mg for four days w/ same result, still no major problems. Dropped to 2.5mg and that was not to bad, stayed there for 4 days and dropped to 2mg. After about the 3rd day @ 2mg I started having mild WD's for the 1st time. Dropped to 1.5mg for 4 days, had mild problem again. You see, we must go through some discomfort to get clean, and Robert's taper plan is by far the best w/ the least problems. He realizes that every one is different and must taper accordingly. Just try your best not to take more than you need ( lowest effective dose ). Stick w/ Robert and you will do fine, he has helped many who were ready to clean up there act, sadly though people come here after messing up w/ subs, the way they work best is to take less and less as you are the only one who knows how you are feeling at any particular point during your taper. So, stay on this forum and check back often as you will see others going through the same thing. Bottom Line: listen to Robert and read as many sub taper stories as you can on this site. I wish you the best. GOOD LUCK !

Hey Barb,

My Dr. Started me on 32mg. I definitely didn't need that high of a dose. I have made it down to 4.5mg now! We'll see how that goes : )

I hope you are doing well. Keep us posted!

thanks melinda
my doc said i was no where near stable with all my withdrawal and shaking, sweating. He put me on 8 mg 3 x daily and i feel somewhat better....but totally afraid to go any higher. my unemploymnt will last for 13 weeks more at that time if i still have not found work i will not be able able to pay for my cobra $385. and would never have the $$$ to pay for the subs. i am scared to death of the w/d that everyone is talking about. i live with my mom who is 88 and getting bad ..i need to be functual...so i need your assistance so badly..i am getting that hopeless/helpless/worthless feeling again that plagued me all thru addiction..i don't want to die...i want to wake up alive/grateful/clear with energy....doc also gave me clonodine, valium and something for sleep if i need it triazolam.also gave me a rx for provigil for energy. i just put all these rx away for now. i wakeup tired and desperate with that terrible fear in my stomach...i dont want to die...i cry easily and i'm on prozac & wellbutrin God has carried me many times....i know He's there but I've lost all contact...if this w/d is anything like methadone i don't think i can go through that again...i am 61. If you can help me as gently as possible i will be eternally grateful. I WANT MY RECOVERY BACK....God Bless You, Barb (can i try some provigil now?)

So what exactly are you taking now? Look at that list of drugs you just named off and add 24mg of suboxone to that. I almost don't know what to say. Tell me what all meds you are taking now and at what dose. God bless.

It's not a matter of giving up on you Barbara. It's just hard for me to know what to tell you while you're on a 24mgs per day. That is a LOT more than I ever recommend taking in a day. I don't know how to advise you taking 24mg. I don't think you need that much.

You need to post here each day how you're doing. Don't post around the forum looking for me just post how you're feeling each day right here. Then I can make suggestions based on what you say.

See how you're doing tomorrow at this dose. I personally think it should a minimum of half what you are taking. We'll see how it's going tomorrow. God bless.
