    Default Robert 325 PLEASE HELP

    Sat: 8:00am: 1mg – 6:00pm: 1mg
    Sun: 8:00 am: 1mg – 6:00pm: 1mg
    Mon: 8:00am: 1mg – 6:00pm: .5mg
    Tue: 8:00am: .5mg – 6:00pm: .25mg
    Wed: 8:00am: .25 – 6:00pm: skip
    Thu: 8:00 am: .25mg – 6:00pm: .25
    Fri: 8:00am: .25mg – 6:00pm: skip
    Sat 8:00am: .25mg
    Sun: skip all day/night
    Mon 12:00pm: .25mg (hurting, went to doc) 3:00pm .25mg
Tue 9:00 am: .5mg – 2:00pm: .5mg (now I feel as normal as the day I started the subs, I guess 1mg is where I stabilize, but I don’t WANT to stay stable, I want to be DONE.)
I am willing to get sick, as I’m no stranger to it..but I thought I did my w/d time during induction?
    Wed: 9:00am: .25mg – 5:00pm: .25mg 10:00pm: .25mg
Thursday 1:00am: VIOLENTLY ILL..don’t know if it was flu (it IS going around) or if this was from skipping on Sunday? Spent all night vomiting/diareah/low fever..still feel ?????? but not violently ill
Friday (today): woke up thinking all was just finishing flu..thought subs were gone due to such short term use but by 9:30am I hit full blown w/d! I cracked and took 5mg hydrocodone (1/2 norco)
I don’t understand..I have detoxed using suboxone 2 times in the past, and my daily hydrocodone dose was relatively small this time (6 norco/day as opposed to 20/day) compared to many of you. Did I just use an elephant gun to kill a fly?
Heavy Vitamin regiment, regular exercise, decent eating habits (I’m type 2 diabetic, but I have been working hard..lost almost 60lbs and no longer have to take injections) also good pot, valium and a few klonopin (benzos), clonidine and plenty of kaopectate (I heard Immodium was NOT good for detox)
Had a few night sweats, a squishy tummy.
Felt pretty good everyday with the exception of the past couple mornings…VERY agitated and feeling w/d’s HEAVY!
I’m sorry if this post is kinda all over the place, but I’m just pouring it out as it comes..I am VERY scared because I feel like I’m at the point of no return…I do NOT WANT A SUBOXONE HABIT!
This makes day 11 of a supposed 5-6 day sub taper….this is time #5 for me including all the sub detox’ and rapid detox’ and the dreaded PRECIPITATED W/D..from SUBOXONE! A doctor tried to emulate rapid detox on me with NO ANSTESTIA ..just IV valium and a PILL of naltrexone!..Geez..thought this was his JOB! 20/20 in hindsight though..all this stuff was pretty new 5-6 years ago
I cant believe MY doctor is simply telling me to stay on the subs..so did 3 other docs I spoke with today.
Anyway..any help would be greatly appreciated..I know I might be jumping the gun..but I did 3 YEARS on suboxone..and THAT was the darkest period in my entire life.
I felt soooo awful sun night-mon afternoon, and then again this morning
WHAT WOULD YOU DO???? HELP..I AM FREAKING OUT!!

You're tapering too fast. I can only help you the way I know that works. If you reduce whatever dose you're on by 25% every four days you should not have much trouble. You're going WAY faster than that. If you do like I'm saying you won't turn into a sub addict. I've been doing this for years. That's the best advice I have is slow it down. You're body is going through detox instead of tapering. And don't take any pain pills!

may I impose to ask another question?:
at this point, I have taken exactly 9.75 mg sub in total, starting 13 days ago and last dose was wed pm. Is the suboxone almost gone out of my system or does the cumulative effect mean it's going to be awhile still?
I ask because if my math is correct, (9.75mgx72hrs= 15 days) and I am on day 13 wouldnt I be better just toughing it out?
Sorry to be redundant..my brain is NOT firing properly..and btw THANK YOU!
I see how many people you have helped here...you seem to have accumulated more knowledge than ANY of the "addiction specialists" I've dealt with in the past 6 years...(can you believe I never had a run in w/opiates until age 35?)..hell..I'm a SINGER in a ROCK BAND!..been doing benzos since age 15...NEVER had a problem when I was without them, mabey a little cranky...never really knew what all the fuss was even about..never knew the difference between opiates and benzos

I've had detoxing drs here, nurses, police officers, attorneys and yes, also rock stars! Welcome to the forum whoever you are. We get a little bit of everyone from across the board here. Not making fun, I know you're serious, you want to get clean and get it over with. I'm all for you.

My best experience is that doing this too fast most usually lands you in a relapse. You've said how you've done this process for years now. Yes, you can continue what you're doing. The way subs work is that they have a half life of up to 72 hours or longer. Then you add the accumulative doses over time and it begins to be impossible to determine the exact amount of time they'll remain in your system, at least to an extent. Factors like how you metabolize drugs, activity level, fluid intake, etc all play a part in the time factor involved. 72 hour half life means in 3 days half the subs are dissipated, in another 72hours half the remaining subs are gone, in 72 more hours half the remaining subs are gone and so on. Add the additional doses and you can see the twisted math involved in figuring all that out. As long as I've done this I am not able to give you an accurate answer.

It's been approximately two days since your last dose. If you want to tough it out you're likely looking at several days before you start getting beyond the detox. It hasn't even been 72 hours since your last dose or probably the one before that and the 2 or 3 prior to that are probably still affecting your system. That's as close as I can get to telling you where you stand.

Think about it and let me know if you want to hang or do a taper. All I can say is that you can stick it out, it's easier but takes a little longer to taper. It's obviously your call. You won't do it my way unless you want to. I wish you luck if you ride it out .... obviously that is the fastest way to rid your system of the subs. Hope that helps at least answer some questions. God bless.

WHAT WOULD YOU DO???? HELP..I AM FREAKING OUT!!
I just want to give you my personal experience with this. I am on day 16 off of Subs and had very little wd's. I read somewhere if you can only stay on 3 weeks, then your body is not addicted to them. I am not sure that is right, but it worked for me. I was on OXY for almost 5 years. One time I got off for 6 months but the rest of the time I was on. Anyways, I took only 1 mg to start 2x a day and every 3-4 days decreased. I never did the day skipping thing, I just wanted to be done! I had the strips. I go lower than .25 mg. I was taking such small amount it was the size of a small sea salt or even smaller. I felt small wd's the last week. I had very minor wd's and never missed a day of work. I felt tired, RLS, anxiety, and sleep loss, but minor. I did what you did last summer. Was on the SUBS for 2 months that time and the WD were bad and took 2 norcos and was so happy and that was it for another 8 months! You need to either decide to live with the effects or not. Some people on here have more and some don't . I MADE myself walk the first few days off. It was SOOOO hard!! I took my dog and every step felt like my legs were 100 lbs. It helps though!! Also, have you looked into the Thomas Recipe? I did a modified version but did not take the L-Tyrosine this time. It makes me anxious. Hope you are doing ok. Lots of caring people on here!! Hang in there!
