Default Question about friend, that has used drugs

Hi,
I have friend, that have used drugs (all the famouse types) for little more then 10 years since he has been teenager.
I think, that he imagine that someone spy him, but i am not sure.
As i have read, it's a common think in their mind that someone spy them.
He really belive in it.
And i don't know to believe him or no?
Can someone share some experience about this?
Thank you

Long time cocaine addicts and methamphetamine addicts often are parinoid of these things.Your friend is in deep addiction and will likely need professional\medical interventiion and help.Good luck to him......Dave

He says that he has had this help, and he says that he is "clean" from 8 years.
I hope so.

Default confused

Thanks Dave, i also began to think so, because he is BIG paranoid, even he says it. Once say one thing, then he says other, he makes me crazy. He is very smart and inteligent but still making me confused all the time. Once he sent me "love explanation letter" and on the next day, he said that the person that spy him, has send me this email.
What do you think about this? Is it normal, when he has been addicted so much time.

sounds like he may be schizophrenic, which could have been brought on by the drug abuse or could be the reason he started abusing them in the first place...either way it sounds like he needs to be in regular therapy and on meds before he becomes dangerous to others or himself...good luck

Hi,

I was thinking the same, i was afraid to think it, but .... when you also think so, this means that i am probably right... it is so sad for him. I read very much about this. And all the things are like describe him.
My relative which is doctor, said that they choose someone that they like a lot, but someone that they can be very agressive to, and to attack when they are in agressive mood.
He always tell me, that he will always like me, even when i do intentionaly things that he hates a LOT, and i wouldn't be able to get rid off him.
He got angry to me, and i am telling him: "Ok, i won't get in touch with you anymore, when i am "so bad for you"" And he always begins to try to make me pay to him attention again.
And i am so much "feel sorry" for him, that can't resist not to pay him attention. And the "game" repeats all the time again and again.

What do you think is the best to be done of me, in this situation?
It so sad i like him very much (even had some feels about him, but he exausts me, he takes all my mentally power with his behaiviour)

Default shawn will soon be gone

like I said, he needs to be in treatment, possibly inpatient depending on the stage of his disease...if you cant get him to treatment then you need to separate from the situation completely...maybe even move...i know it sucks...

and to dave, no not yet, but I will check it out...this is really one of maybe two forums I post on...
