i've been taking 40mg of prozac for about 2 years, the last couple of months i've started having panic attacks again so i went to new doc (a woman i felt i could talk to easier) she lowered the prozac to 20mg and added wellbutin xl 150mg and gave .25 xanax for the attacks. well the xanax didn't help so she gave me ativan,that didn't help, so now a month later she put me on xanax xr 1mg once a day at night to help me sleep. needless to say it doesnt help me sleep at all and i don't feel any better. Im still depressed, overwhelmed and have panic attacks. I not really happy about being on the xanax everyday because i don't have panic attacks everyday. i think i need to up the amount of prozac or wellbutin and find something that works quickly for the panic attacks like valium ( i've never taken it but i think it works fairly quickly)does anyone have any idea's or take this combo of medicine????Please help i'm going crazy PS i have a 14 & 15year old boys & 2year old girl and a motherinlaw who lives with me who lost her job 4 months ago MAJOR STRESS Please help

Sorry to hear about your troubles. A good dose for me has been 60 mgs of prozac and .5-1mg of xanax (not XR) on an "as needed" basis.

Have you given any thought to using some cannibus? sounds like just the ticket, and you dont have to worry about all those chemicals, and how they are going to "keep" adjusting them, in order for them to be useful to you.
But I'm from CA and we can legally do that out here, but if given an opportunity, dont turn it down, it just might help you cope with all that you need to right now!
