My husband has been on Lexapro 1mo 10 mg, has terrible diarrhea. I told his Dr & he sd for him to just stop. I want to be sure he can just go cold turkey since he works. I did cut it down to 5mg yesterday but would like some imput on this since I've seen some bad withdrawals. I did post this already somewhere else but haven't gotten an answer, thanks.

I think you're doing the right thing.Keep him at 5 mgs for a few more days then 5mg every other day for another week.Then try and stop and see how he is.If he shows signs of withdrawl then give him 2.5mgs if you can.I think though that he will likely be ok.The other thing you could do is to try and stop now and see how it goes.1 month isn't usually enough time for this drug to really do anything.It's really up to him.Good luck....Dave

Thanks Dave, haven't been able to get anybody to answer, I appreciate it. I always like to get another opinion & it's abit harder since he works & is off Fri-sat-sun so I want to time it right just in case. He's been on 5mg 2 days now only thing I notice is he's abit dense, forgetful.
