I love kitties and know a lot about them, I once intended to be a vet, before my disabilities hit me and s****ped that idea.
However, Cats is correct, she will take care of herself and her babies. Since she is a stray, she will more than likely not want to have her babies in your house anyway, she is used to being outside and feels safer out there where she can protect herself and her baby furries and move them or run as need be.
If you bring her in, and she isn't very used to houses and people, you could be setting yourself up for trouble, your fears are justified there. She could get very, very defensive, endangering you, your child and your dog. Best to leave her outside, just feed her if you are worried about it, or as Cats said, call animal control and let them take care of her.
As to the rabies, well a very, very low percentage of cats ever catch that, so that is probably not worth worrying about, but she could have several kinds of worms, parasites and skin parasites that could infect not only your house and dog, but you and your child as well.
