[Painful_Fate]

Hey everyone! I know there's quite a few members here who suffer or have suffered from some kind of back pain. I'm hoping someone can help me...soon!

First off, I already have a common diagnosis - chronic back pain. Blah, blah, blah. L4 nerve root displacement, Spinal Stenosis, 7mm L4 disc herniation which just so happens to touch the thecal sac (spinal cord protective outer layer). There's a few others. Anyway, to the point of my rambling.

A couple weeks ago I was bending over to grab my laptop out of my backpack which was on the floor. BOOM...a sudden blast of neuropathic pain shot from my lower back, down the BACK of my right leg and seemed to have engulfed my right knee...no lower. Well, considering I'm posting this now, it has YET to go away. I figured pulled back muscle. Fine. Put myself on a regiment of Soma 350mg three times a day as needed. Nothing. Reliefless. Believe it or not, even through my five plus years since I first started experiencing back pain, this is completely new to me.

Here's the kicker - Barely leaning over to grab something over my night-stand (which isn't too far of a reach when standing), I feel a sudden "SNAP" in my lower back, as if something MOVED from somewhere else. Pain accompanies this 'movement', sending the now normal shockwave impulse through the right side of my back to my right knee. After each and every event, I find it hard to walk. Like limping, babying my right leg. I often have to walk slightly off posture, leaning to my left, to avoid any further pain. It is now accompanied with right leg pain. To think about it, the pain is more in the leg now then it is in the back. Weird? Figured a day in bed relaxing would exhaust the problem. No deal. Okay, so I figured I'd move around and stay active. No deal again. So now what?

Does ANYONE have ANY suggestions for me? I've gone over two weeks dealing with this thinking it is just another episode for me to hurdle but I've come to the conclusion I'm fighting a losing battle.
