The first three days are the worst, after five days you'll start getting your energy back, normally 7-10 days to start feeling normal again, you'll be about 90% in ten days, the other 10% takes another week or so. It takes a couple months to get endorpins producing right, that just makes any real pain seem a little more severe then it actually is.

I know diarrhea is the worst, get yourself some Imodium AD, it'll help but not get rid of it, diarrhea lasts a good 5 days, after three days you won't be running to the pot every 20 minutes, it takes about a week to get good stools again. Hang tough, it gets better.

Hang in there Piru and take the immodium. You may need to take 5 or 6 of them but don't worry they won't hurt you at that dose.Imodium is actually a opiate but it doesn't cross the blood-brain barrier but it will help alot with stomach and diarrhea. You didn't have a huge addiction which is benificial for you and you weren't addict for very long and that's another plus for you.You should start to feel better by the 5th day and after that you begin to feel better everyday.Make sure you start drinking gatorade or some type of sports drink as it will give energy and bring up your electrolytes.Start to go for morning and after supper walks as this will help stimulate endorphin production.Hang in there and you will start to feel better very soon.Let us know how your doing......Dave

Unfortunately Ultram (tramadol) is just as addictive as percocet and yes you would get withdrawls when you stopped.Percocets have a very short half life meaning that they don't kill your pain for very long before you need to take more. They are not meant to be taken for long term pain.A couple weeks at the most and then you begin to build a tolerance to them.Like I said before, you should start feeling better after about the fifth day. Hang in there because it will definately be worth it.Stopping now before you get addicted to the stronger opiates and start spending literaly thousands upon thousands of dollars just so you don't get withdrawls.Never mind getting a buzz as that is impossible to achieve after a few years of heavy daily abuse.I know because I did it for 23 years and now I've been on methadone for the last 5 years and probably will be on opiate replacement therapy for the rest of my life. So this is your chance to turn it all around before your brain changes and you won't be able to go back.Good luck.....Dave

Taking it will only prolong your W/D's. Your brain will trick you into taking something, don't do it. time heals.
There's not really anything your doctor can do except to give you something to sleep.
