I think people can become pyschologically dependent on pretty much anything. Medically speaking-- naproxen sodium is considered NON habit forming

Yes, it is considered non-habit forming, but when they put that on the bottle, they are usually considering occasional use, not constant regular usage of it.

You can become dependent on anything that you take, eat, or drink regularly for a long period of time, anything from Soda's to coffee to Tylenol because your body gets used to having it. When you take it away abruptly, your body has to rebalance itself to doing without it, so you can get withdrawal symptoms, usually not as bad as heavier drugs like narcotics or cocaine, but you will still have some symptoms. People who are used to drinking coffee everyday, who try to stop abruptly will often suffer headaches, people who eat a lot of sweet and suddenly stop often get irritable and anxious.

So yes, it can happen, even with OTC drugs or food stuffs.

My information is not guaranteed correct. I do not get them right all the time, but I do enjoy the hunt~
