Default I would like to hear from some recovering Pill....

addicts, if any read this. I would like to hear how free or better you feel after you detoxed and controlled the mental crave. It is so hard to imagine life without that pill buzz. If you beat addiction (even a temporary milestone) please encourage me with your Joy from being free of pills ! I've read a few post on this site about how much better the person is now, but sadly , those post are few and far between. You can be my mentor [8D] ! I need encouragement, i'm really trying to beat this, but its hard. Thank you.

I'm a pill addict that just start recovery with the help of methadone 3wks. ago. I did pills everyday for over 2yrs. Now I'm physically addicted. Taking hydrocodone, oxy, etc. didn't work for me because every four hours I needed another my life revolved around pills and it was destroying my relationship. My now husband has been my greatest supporter, without him it would have been extremely difficult. You are doing the right thing and admittimg to yourself you have a problem. You might want to suggest to your doctor the use of methadone, tell him the others aren't lasting long enough and that you've heard methadone or suboxone could help.
You need to tell your wife, she will help I promise. My husband and I have been doing better than ever! Its a long road but the sooner the better. I have more energy, more time, and not worrying where I'll get my next dose. My quality of life has improved more than I ever thought possible. If you have any more questions or just need to talk let me know...I know its hard but you ARE doing the BEST thing! I'm praying for you...

Hey Jonesing,

It's early for me only 40 hours since I took my last pain pill but I'm doing great!!! I'm taking Suboxone and I'm only taking a 1/2 pill then going down to 1/4 of a pill. I have barely any withdrawals at all and as for the mental cravings I still have a few hydros right in front of me and there not tempting me at all to take them. Once I'm down with my 7 day script of Suboxone there going down the toilet and I'm going to start saving my $500.00 a month I was spending on my painpills and rebuild my life to where I was before I began 11 years ago.

HANG IN THERE DON'T GIVE IN MILLIONS OF PEOPLE FUNCTION EVERY DAY PILL FREE! YOU CAN MAKE IT MILLIONS PLUS 1 AND I MY FRIEND WILL BE MILLIONS PLUS 2

Hi.I hope this helps.

I am recovering from xanax withdrawal and feel very normal most times.I have benzo fatigue which is a real drag. Its so boring.

I never suffered every day though.I had my bad weeks and good days and I just have bad moments now.

You will find that as your body heals the better you will feel. Its a good feeling to know you are going to get better and be your old self again.

Chris.

Hey guys, in my short lifetime, I am 20 an male I have been addicted to: Temazepam, Valium, Serapax, Ativan, Mogodon, Seroquel, Largactyl, Xanax, an many others the simple but hard way to do it was get a really good friend that you can trust and get them to lock you in a room, bring you your meals ECT. I was on a prescribed dosage of 50mg of Valium(Night), 10mg of Xanax(Anxiety), 500mg of Largactyl(Anti-psychotic), 240mg of Serapax(Muscular tension) a day and that was before I started popping pills. I had a good friend who did lock me in what I now call "The Dungeon" an I was in there almost 7 weeks... I went F*cking crazy in there and tore the place apart, more so myself. But to this day I am still not pill free but these days I only take maybe one 2mg Xanax a day, with 1200mg of Epilim... and I'm coping...

Hope this helps you out somewhat...
P.S. The future is a bright light to look at...
