I have been on methadone for quite some time now, I was used to taking vicodin es 10-15 pills per day, well I have been on methadone for awhile now, and my doctor cut me off so I have been getting them on the streets, well I have ran out of money and sources to get them, I dont know of any methadone clinics around here and I dont know where to get them, I dont want to get off them I am not ready and I dont want to suffer the withdrawls, I just dont know where to get them, on top of that I dont have insurance the dr I was seeing wont see me anymore and he was the only dr I could afford because I was on a slide program, I dont know what to do, I ran out today just took my last one this afternoon and I am alerady phening for more because I know I am out, they are so hard to come across and I want them every day, someone please tell me what I can and should do,

Sweetie, It's very[u]</u> illegal to do that. I think that it is even a federal crime, because it is going through the mail. Not to mention that anybody can read your post...including cops or who ever gets on this site. I'm not trying to be mean, at all. I just don't want you to get in trouble. Also maybe you should erase your address of that post. There are crazy people out there. If you can't get methadone from your dr., maybe you could order it from an online pharmacy. There are online Doctors that give scripts to you, then ship you your meds. I don't think that it's illegal because you have a script from a dr. Good Luck.

I have been on methodone 100 now 110mgs. of methodone for 16 yrs. You can find a clinic in your area and methodone is legal. It is for people who are addicted to painkillers. I had taken a lot of different painkillers--even diliud and herion and believe methodone is way better. And it is legal! But the down side to methodone is it is very strong and even blocks any other painkillers-even herion,but it will not hurt any vital organs. I think vicidon has acetametaphin in them which is bad for your liver. I recently couldn't sleep and took tylenol pm (4 at time for 4 months) then I found out how bad tylenol is for your liver and stopped! vicodin has tylenol in them. Find a methodone clinic.

Well thats why I was asking if it was illegal because I didnt know, how do I delete it? I tried and couldnt figure out how, I wasnt doing anything wrong by asking if it was legal was I? I dont want to do anything illegal I just wanted to know what I can do to get them, I cant seem to find any drs around here that will prescribe them, people are telling me to go to a methadone clinic but I dont have insurance plus I havent found one in my area...you know I never thought about it until now that I shouldnt put my address on here, how do I delete it?

Sweetie, I think if you look in your phonebook under your County agencies you'll find some sort of chemical dependecy program. Call them and ask where to find Methodone clinics. I think most clinics only charge $10.00 a day. If you can't find one in your County try the closest big city near you. Call information for a rehab clinic...they will probably direct you to one.

Ok now I have a huge situation, I just found out I am pregnant a couple hrs ago, what am I going to do? I dont want to take pills now and I am out anyways, but wont the withdrawl hurt the baby? what am I going to do, I need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You need to see a doctor ASAP.

While it may be hard to do, you need to quit. You have a new baby to look after. You're the only one that can protect the baby, not only from the evil world out there, but from the harmful drugs that could be imposed upon it.

I think you need to contact your previous doctor, explain that you're pregnant, and that you're ready to quit, but you're worried for your babies health along with the depression, anxiety, and discomfort the WD may have on you while you carry the baby. I have a feeling he'll see you as soon as he hears that a baby is on the way.

If he still wont help, start making phone calls to find a doctor that will. You need to see a doctor ASAP.

Keep us updated and please feel free to ask any questions you may have. When you've decided on your method of detox let us know. There are a lot of us on this board, I'm sure someone can give you some help on your specific detox method.

I am sorry for your situation but I am sure that there is more to it than you are saying. I know what addiction is and I know that there is always two sides to the story. I have been on morphine and other stuff for about two and a half years now and know that docs can't just kick you off. YOu could sue them for causing you to go into withdrawels. There is some extenuating circumstance as to why he cut you off. Have you tried to explain to the doc what is going on and if all else fails threaten to sue if he doesn't help you at least get off of the drugs. That way he might send you to a meth clinic. They don't want you to have a reason to sue so if you threaten, they may take some action to help you. Most docs count on us being ignorant when it comes to the law. I would never want someone to sue a doctor without cause but with cause, everyone has rights. I used to know a lady who got addicted to vicodin and she had it shipped thru the mail all the time even though it was illegal, she did it and never got caught. She paid out the butt for it though and in the end went through hell coming off of it when she couldn't get a doctor to give it to her because she had no proof that anyone ever gave it to her before. There is a catch twenty two here. Be careful, be honest, and pray for guidance. That is my only advice. Please, there are enough druggy babies out there, don't make another one.

I agree with you Girlie Girl. I think you should erase your address of that post. Like she said there might be some policemen, FBI and who knows what other people read these posts. It's definitely illegal to send any narcotics through the mail.

I've never taken Methadone so I really don't know much about it but I'm sure the withdrawel is really tough.

Ok heres the deal, in no way on gods green earth will I take drugs while I am pregnant, I am going to go see a dr. tommorow, I will tell him my situation and ask him what to do, I dont think he can prescribe anything especially narcotics to a pregnant patient so I think I am just going to bite the bullet, it will be tough because I have a 2 year old and a 3 1/2 year old, on top of being pregnant with an a hole bf here, I told him I was pregnant and he said I hope to f*cking god you misscarry, then he stormed off, I tried to talk to him and alls he said was I aint having another f*cking kid, your f*cking crazy, you know with all this stress I might very well miscarrige, I dont want to and I refuse to get an abortion, I was on the depo ahot and yet I still got pregnant, so I think its gods way of telling me to shape up my act and it gives me a good enough reason to kick the habit, just dont know how todd, my bf will handle all this, both of my other kids are by him and obviously so is this one, he was mean to me throughout my other pregnancys and wanted me to abort but I refused, He was going to go get snipped in January so his insurance would have covered it, hes really mad at me, he wont even talk to me, I fear hell drive me to move back out, he and I have only been back together for 2 months and previously we were split up for a year, I dont know how he will react to me now, I know I didnt do it on purpose if thats what he thinks I mean hello I was on birth control!!! He has no right to take this out on me does he? I dont know I just know with him being unsupportive its going to make things worse...what can I do???

I know this is so hard for you. My ex husband wanted me to get an abortion when I was pregnant with our daughter. I would have never forgiven myself. She is the most beautiful little girl. You already have two children with this man and he still treats you like this. He is an ass!!! Do you have anywhere else to go and stay, friends or family??? I think you should get out of that situation, ASAP. You and your children deserve much better. If you don't have any where to go, then check around for state help. Do you have a job? If not it might be time to get one. This is not a man that you can depend on to take care of you. Later on he may change and want you and his children. But your a package deal now,( you and the kids). It's not your fault you got pregnant...it happens!! But he has no right to tell you to have an abortion... THAT IS YOUR CHOICE. I understand that he is stressed because it is a rocky relationship to begain with, and having children puts alot of stress on things. You said he acted this way with your other children, too. Thats got to be hard for them. Please try and find help. Your DR. may even know of a place for preganant mothers. If you feel that you can't take care of three children on your on, there is adoption. I had a hard time taking care of one on my own, then I got remarried and its alot easier to have help. You can keep all of your children, you know whats best for them. Yeah it is hard with him, and I didnt get pregnant on my own, he is being a real ass, I havent seen him all day, he made a few ignorant comments to me this morning, and If I come into the room he is in, he leaves to another room, hes been at the neighbor ladys house all day, it will upset me a great deal if hes over there talking about the situation with her instead of me, its not my fault, and I believe this child is a sign, a gift from god, I will not abort and I will not adopt this child out, I didnt do it with my other children and I cant and wont do it to this child, god never gives you more than you can handle, this child is obviously meant to be, I hope he changes his ways real quick or I will leave him again, although at this point in time I think thats what he would like!!! ok, I am getting worse and soeone needs to give me advice!!! I am dying here, as you know I am 6.5 weeks pregnant, bf says he wont deal with me being useless because of pills I am addicted to methadone I have been without for 5 days how long does the mental craving last? and why am I and do I feel so lazy and tired without them? I cant take it anymore I just want them but I dont want to cause harm to the baby, I want to be off pills entirely and not ever crave them again and I want to have energy every day what am I supposed to do? damn drs should have never given them to me in the first place!!! when I first started taking pain killers I never knew they were addictive til I tried to quit I have been taking them since september of 04 I have only went 8 days total ever without having something to take, and thats including these past 5 days since I found out I was pregnant, I cant find them anywhere but I dont want to have to take them, someone please tell me what to do...

Do you have a primary care DR at all? I am sure there is a methadone clinic somewhere around you. One of my good friends is on methadone maintenance and it costs him $11 a day. He goes there every single morning and gets his paper bag. I am not in the medical field but I am pretty sure that if you are pregnant and on methadone maintenance they will NOT take you off during pregnancy but wait until the baby is born so they can best deal with the baby medically. You are sure in a tough spot but know we are all here. BTW, I was prescribed lortab my whole pregnancy for lower back/hip pain. I also breastfed while on tylox 24 hours a day for 8 weeks due to an injury. These was all before I got addicted to the lortab.

I havent talked to my dr yet I have to arrange it first, I need to go get medicaid insurance before hell see me, I went 6 days after I found out I was pregnant with nothing but on the 7th day I relapsed, I bought some vics, I have been taking 2000 mg per day, they dont do much but they take the edge off, I need help I need to stop taking pain killers but its sooooo hard as I am sure you all know that, I only have 5 left which means I will have to quit again unless I go get more, this really sucks but without I drag ass and cant take care of my other 2 children, I wish there was a miricle pill that you could take to make it all go away, I hate being addicted, I dont really have too much physical withdraw anymore except for the nausea but its a lot of the mental dependency I just want my life back hopefully theres a dr to help, well I will keep you posted girlie girl

Sweetie, I just got out of Detox and there was some woman there who had chronic pain (from back surgery gone bad) she was pregnant and the Drs. gave her slow released Oxy's. The baby was fine.
There was another lady there (my roommate) she was detoxing from Methodone. Physically, she was in bad shape even after 5 days but who knows I think she was a liar. I understand. No ones a saint.
I left after 5 days thinking I was fine...I then had one horrific night. My husband took me to the ER. They gave me a shot of Diloted. Whoa! my withdrawls went away for sure. I've been better after that.
I will be thinking of you. Please get it together and see the dr. I think right now thats the best thing. Find one that is understanding and doesn't make judgements...you don't need that xxxx!
