Default I have a problem.....

I had disc surgery on my neck three weeks ago. The first week my doctor gave me percocet, second week vicodin and last week told me to just take Tylenol, which does not work by the way. I was unable to hardly get out of bed, etc. This past Monday night I tripped and fell over my kids sneaker getting up to the bathroom without turning on the light. I fell forward and snapped my neck. I called my doctor but he never called me back, I waited all day and everytime i called they said he was in surgery. The next day I went to the ER and they did x-rays, etc. They gave me a few pain killers (6) and told me to follow up with my doctor, who again I didn't hear from. Yesterday they told me to bring the x-rays up there but that he was in surgery and would look at them the next day. So I went to my primary care and he wouldn't give me anything for the pain until I talked to my doctor (almost impossible). I ordered meds online and they came today and my husband was home and flipped out, saying he is going to leave me, that I have a drug problem, why should he bother working if I am going to spend the money on drugs, etc. I tried to explain to him but he is very upset and took them. I don't know what to do, I am in very bad pain w/out anything to help me. I haven't really been out of bed all week. What should I do about my husband, and the doctor who is never there???

I would try your doctor again.I think your husband is right your actions show someone who is seeking opiates at all costs. That's why your doctor is avoiding you.You should not need an opiate this long after surgery.I'm not trying to be nasty but your going to get into trouble if you don't get away from the pills.I know,I abused narcotics for 22 years and for the last 3 years I've been on methadone.....Dave

Finally my pain is under control!!!!!!!
