Default How long doesd it take to get hooked?

I was prescribed Percocet and then vicoprofen for the last 3 weeks. Ofcourse, due to my personality,m I was basically making up excuses to get more because I enjoyed ther euphoric feeling. I am really ashamed of myself for deceiving people. I have been off of the meds for two days now, and I never want to go back, but my stomach is upset and I am extremely anxious.......did I get addicted that easily? I am very ashamed.

You may be slightly addicted .You better stay away from the drugs or you will really be sorry .Addiction is a very real problem and many people cant work or even leave the house in withdrawal .I would say you may be in mild withdrawal .If you have gone 2 days without the meds you can go 1 or 2 days more and you will be in the clear .If you had to start taking 2 or 3 times the original dose then you have built a tolerance but I think you will be fine in a couple of days. Many people have been on meds so long that they take 20 pills at a time to feel euphoria and they experience a horrendous withdrawal.Just be glad you havent been on them for years like so many have .Good luck...

Any narcotic pain killer is addictive,I don't want to repeat the accurate information above mentioned, just throw my 2 cents in. I believe taking percocet, ligitimately prescribed even for a period of 24-48 hrscan lead to both physical and mental addiction. Where the problem lies, is the euphoric feeling, the "rush" one gets throughout the duration of the drug's time frame. Before you blink your eyes your mind and body are screaming to feed them these pk's. I would suggest searching for an alternative pain relief outlet, the battle is the hardest thing i have ever faced in my 24 yrs on this planet. They have got me for the last 3 yrs straight, every day, everyday. I wish you the very best luck use your willpower now while you can rcognize that you actually have it!
