How long does it take to get hooked on klonopin. I am prescribed 1mg 3x a day. I used to be prescribed less and i only took it as needed once in a while and it was nice because I would get a buzz. Now that I take it more frequenlty, I get no buzz off of it.

Idk, but do you think you're suppose to get a buzz? Because you're not, that's how benzo's work, it's doing it's job, never take more then prescribed because a little more and you will always need to take more. That's the caveat of benzo's, and don't forget it (never take more). You're not feeling it like you did because you're at a therapeutic level, don't worry about being hooked, (if it's really Rx'd to you), don't expect a buzz, if you don't think it's working tell your doctor, so that he can put you on something else that will.
Maybe you can ask about BuSpar. Be careful, a benzo addiction is among the worst.

I cant seem to take them as prescribed. I am an addict. Mainly an opiate addict but I also love benzo's . And I like to use them to up my opiate high as well which I know is dangerous. What sucks is that I do have an anxiety disorder but because I abuse my benzos and take more than prescribed, like you said, I cause the theraputic level to go up. I have been on kpin 1mg 3x a day for 4 months but the bottle usually only last two weeks at most. So i am probably already hooked. What do you think? Will it take a few days for me to feel withdrawals if i were to stop taking them since they have a long half life. I guess I need to get honest with my doctor and get a taper schedule set up, give my meds to someone to administer to me, and get off them, and use buspar or something non narcotic for anxiety, or learn to meditate and other tools for anxiety that are not in the form of a pill. Funny when you no what to do but yet you dont do it.
