Hi all, having collected a repeat prescription from a pharmacy today i noticed that my supply of amlodipine besilate had been changed without my knowledge to amlodipine maleate, when i brought this to the attention of the pharmacist i was told that as it did not state besilate on the prescription there was nothing i could do to change back to my usual amlodipine besilate. As i was prescribed amlodipine maleate some time ago the prescription was changed to amlodipine besilate as the maleate were making me feel dizzy and confused. Could someone inform me if the change in my prescription without me seeing a doctor and being able to discuss the change is appropriate and why is there nothing that i can do to get it changed back to what it should be which is amlodipine besilate.
