Default help! methods dealing with withdrawl symptoms,

My g/f is a recovering herion addict, she is currently on subutex and is starting to have the dosage dropped to get her completely off the medication. She is currently suffering withdrawl symptoms. I am looking to see if anyone knows any methods to minimize some of the pain assosiated with these withdrawls. Perferable non-med ways of doing this. She has an extreme hatred of medications. Examples of what i mean, massage, foods, possible over the counter pain relievers. I understand there is no cure all for the pain and she knows it as well, all i am looking for are methods to make it a little easier. if anyone has any advise it would be greatly appreciated.
