    Question help! Doctor shopping??

I have been going to a pain management clinic for detox with suboxin. I just filled a scrip for suboxin at walgreens this Monday. I recently got into a motorcycle acident and hurt my neck bad. I got an MRI today and went to a different pain clinic because he is cheaper then the doctor I usually go to. He prescribed me 120 perocet 10. I filled the scrip at the same walgreens today from the other doctor. M friends are scaring the ******************** outta me because they say that is considered doctor shopping and I can go to jail. Is this true?? What should I do? Should I even worry about it because they are different perscriptions?? Help!

I would have probably gone to the same pain management doctor that I was already using. You will undoubtedly have to explain what happened as the original doctor will likely find out what is going on with the meds. But if you have an MRI from a legitimate doctor, not a bandit script doctor, then you have a legal reason for having the Percocets and are not breaking the law. I would take it upon myself to contact the original doctor, don't wait to be confronted about it, tell him what happened and why you did what you did. No sense to use the suboxone while on the Percs. The doctor needs to know anyway so he will know why you will be postponing your suboxone treatment. You won't go to jail if you are accurately explaining what happened. Good luck. Hope you get better soon and get back on the suboxone.
