    Default help for anxiety!

Sorry for posting so much but it helps me feel better to write down whats on my mind. Today is my 5th day away from percocets and I am feeling alot better physically and mentally. The only thing I have trouble with is anxiety. Sometimes I find it overwhelming. I'm already on remeron for it which I take at night time but it only seems to help a bit. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to lower my anxiety level. I know exercise helps but is there anything else. Please help. Thanks!

how much remeron are you taking? last year during a period in which anxiety had control of me and i would go days without sleep, i would take a remeron and it was lights out and no anxiety for the next day.

as for the anxiety just keep busy. that way you dont have the anxious idle thoughts.

What is it that is making you so anxious? Not to sound like a psychcologist, but what is it?

I know it sounds stupid and like it won't work, but really sitting down and forcing yourself to mediatate really helps me. Your mind is a veryn powerful thing if you let it work for you instead of against you all the time.

Just joined the forum today. I have been on many different types of anxiety drugs and am on diazepam at present. It is 5mg to be taken every 6 hours or as needed. I have found a very helpful addition to the diazepam and that is motion sickness pills. They can be bought OTC and I use the Equate brand sold at Walmart. 100 tablets for less than $5.00. I take 2 at a time and they really take the edge off when I feel a anxiety attack coming on. They are a very soft pill and will dissolve under your tongue in a matter of seconds. They have got me out of more than 1 full blown anxiety attack. I then go ahead and take a diazepam which normally takes at least 15 minutes to kick in. I hope that this helps you out somewhat.
