Just thought id post that ive had 8mg suboxone today its 1850 Tues night here in England and I feel ok after taking my last subo for the day, but just before that i was v v cold. Ive got your friend Robert on board and Im reading lots of threads. I hate that I went to the docs with a slight addiction lol and now Im a full blown narcotic addict!!

I stopped 65mgs methadone and after a week began living in hell. Today I started subo , I was 18 on the cows? test. Will i get some sleep tonite as have had insomnia for days, will the spasms /restless legs stop now?
thankyou for reading and if you do, replying. Topsy

    Default Hi Topsy

For the Restless Leg Syndrome at the beginning of the Treatment got an Ultra Mineral vitamin with 100% magnesium and had potassium in it. As suggested here on the forum. I think it really helped because I had minimal RLS through the 4 weeks so far. Also used L-Tyrosine with a B6, Multi vitamin and Trypophane or Kava for anxiety. I used xanax but I know they don't recommend that but I was already on it and the doctor said to continue since if you stop it can cause a stroke. Also take Benadryl at night to help sleep and for the stuffiness. And a muscle relaxer which definitely helped with the withdrawals.
Just bought Melatonin to see if that will help with sleep.
So that is my regamin at night. I sleep pretty good now wake up a lot but able to go back to sleep.
    Hope this helps
    Hugs

Dianne ....... I wish you would have posted this on our thread for personal communications like I mentioned before. I can tell you right now that jumping off 65mg of methadone is dangerous in itself. That's too high a dose to stop from abruptly. The danger is in addition to the side effects which are too numerous to go into all of them. You weren't really at a high enough score on the COWS worksheet at 18, you should have been at a 26 minimum, and you shouldn't make the switch to subs from methadone unless you've titrated down to 30mg or less. Part of your problem today could have been precipitated w/d though it would have been a slight case or you'd still be sick big time.. I am lucky to have caught this info as I was not looking for you to start new threads with such important information that relates directly to your sub taper. Keep me posted so I can give you the best advice I'm capable of giving.

What's done is done now. It's almost bedtime for you and you'll have more meds in the morning. As you're several hours ahead of us and you'll be up well before me in the morning I don't want to leave you hanging as to what to do tomorrow. In the morning take 4mg when you get up. Do it in ONE dose and don't plan on taking anything else until late tomorrow afternoon when you'll take another 4mg. That will be it for the day hopefully. But PLEASE PUT THE REST OF YOUR POSTS REGARDING THIS ON OUR SUB TAPER THREAD. I need all pertinent information to be able to effectively help you. I just happened to run across this post and could have EASILY missed it. I get emails from the forum on your other thread as I subscribed to it. I would have never known about the methadone info which is critical information for me helping you had I missed this.

Please keep me posted on OUR thread. Post to anyone you like obviously. It's good to post around the forum and especially read all the success stories. They are amazing. Just keep me posted so I know what is happening and I don't tell you something that I wouldn't tell you if I knew all the details. I'm on your side and just trying my best to help you in the most effective way possible. God bless.

Yes, I think you might have made an ooopsies with the way you went about it. What you're doing really is dangerous, and FAR from ideal. I am not an expert, that is Robert's job, so I would listen to him 100% if I were you. He is the sub guru, and, if you listen to him, you WILL get through this with the minimal amount of symptoms possible.

But good job for making the leap, and I am praying for you. Good luck!
