hi, my name is.......well u can look at my profile. anyway i joined this site to talk about some of the prob i have with people who have some of the same probs. what is my prob? well thats kinda self explanatory.......codone???? maybe. i want to stop whatever it is i do and i hope there is someone at this place that can help.

i cant do it alone, as a matter of fact no one can. so if there is anyone that needs help and wants to here about someone else that is goin through the same thing and thinks that maybe it will help to talk to someone that goes through it, please let me know! i need someone as much as i hope someone needs me!!

You will definitely find lots of sympathetic ears here and a great deal of good advice and imparted wisdom offered. Strangely enough, sometimes I find these postings sound a lot like therapy groups. Keep posting and you're sure to get the help you're looking for.

i feel ok right now. im pretty tired, i have been trying to get on a normal sleeping habit. you know goin to bed no later than eleven and gettin up early. i am goin to try and get suboxone hopefully by the end of this week. those really help me. talking helps alot.....well typing i guess. hope to chat later melinda 7.5...thanks!!

metalman ... whats up with the subs??? Are you lined up with a sub dr or are you buying them on the street? Not trying to be nosey, just trying to look out for your well being. I see lots of people buy them on the street and they end up taking them wrong. I even see people getting them from drs and doing them the wrong way. Share about the subs if you would. Sounds like you have used them before. God bless.

actually i do have a friend that was telling me about them and he gets them on a regular basis and he gave me a couple and told me a doctor to see and how to take them. i know that is still wrong to do but, i dont buy them from him and actually dont get them from him anymore. the one thing that has been scaring me about them is i kinda feel like its trading one evil for another?? i mean, i stop with the painers and now i want somethin else.
when i started takin meds i hurt my leg and got an Rx for the pills. then it started to go down hill from there, so what will happen if i get subs prescribed to me. it just worries me thats all. one more thing the way i was told to take them was to break it into quarter pieces and place it under my tongue. i also looked some things up and thats what it said to do. i havent takin those though in about 4 days, and i feel like i need them, so that goes back to what i said at the beginning of the paragraph! is it worth going to a doctor to get addicted to something else or just stop it all on my own????? thanks for the concern robert and dont ever worry bout bein nosy. i think you may have good judgment so i am sure you ask things for a reason. if you ask i will tell or i wont get the help i want.......thanks.....l8er

I am not judging you morally for how you obtain your suboxone. That is none of my business. I am only concerned that you do this the right way. NO ... using suboxone is not taking on another addiction. That is a crock from people who don't know what they are talking about. They do it wrong and then they become dependent. That is their fault, not the fault of the medication.

I always say to cold turkey if you will do it. If you can't pull that off for whatever reason, then the suboxone is a great alternative. It just has to be done properly. I will help you with that IF you want me to. And the example of people telling you to just break a pill into quarters is exactly what I am talking about. That is NOT the way you take suboxone. Let me know if you want my help doing it properly. God bless.

well, thanks robert. i know that you are not judging my moral or anything like that. but my opinion about this situation, is well i dont mind the questions because if anyone knows more about the stuff than i do(which they probably do) then i dont mind questions. so thanks. i read my first post and realized i miss worded some things. instead of saying i am going to get subs by the end of the week i should have said that i am trying to get a doctors opointment by the end of the week. that is wht i meant to put in it. i realize how bad that sounded. sorry guys...............anyway i am doin pretty good today and if i do get the Rx then i would not mind at all some help robert..or from anyone

I always suggest cold turkeying first just as Melinda suggests. If you can't make it for whatever reason that is when I think it's a good idea to go with the subutex/suboxone. If you get ready to go on the medication let me know and we will figure a taper just for you. Just let me know.

How many days clean do you have total?

There is no way that I would tell you to go on suboxone if you have much clean time at all. I would go ahead and tough it out as you would be totally clean in no time at all. God bless.

its only been about 4 days counting today and my body just feels like its in nots!! my head hurts it just sucks so bad right now! but i will talk more later thanks guys.

You are on day four??? That is really good.

I know this has been very tough. Most of us have been through it ourselves. The worst part should be over within two days MAX .. then each day will start to get better. It could even start turning around sooner. For some day four is the worst, then it starts getting better.

The point here is that you have paid the biggest part of the price to get clean already. You're so close to being past this that it would INSANE to start on suboxone at this point. Keep posting, pray, do whatever it takes to get another couple days behind you and you will have this detox beat. God bless.
