effexor xr withdrawl hey ive been on effexor xr 75mg for about two years now. taking them for bad anxiety.... anyways i was weening myself off of them taking them every other day rather than everyday.i felt ok so i stopped them all together now but i am having strange symptoms. the only way i can describe it is it feels like im being shocked by a low volt electric fence about every four seconds. how long will this go on? -

I am not envious. Electric shock syndrome sucks for sure. I've had it more than once, the worst from stopping benzos. It's also a side effect of stopping antidepressants. I HATE IT. It's impossible to say exactly how long the shocks will last. We are all different. Sounds like effexor is prescribed medication. I would get the dr in on this deal. Doctor should probably be involved if possible with stopping effexor after taking it for two years. Dr could probably help too with a taper schedule specific to you. Good luck.
